CHURCH SCHOOL
Bethesda Lutheran Church is looking forward to presenting the theme for Deep Blue Group Sunday School, “Loving God, Loving Neighbor,” for 2019-2020. After Rally Sunday Worship, 9:30 am, September 8th, our children and parents are encouraged to participate in God's Work our Hands. This year we will be assembling Personal Care Kits and Tieing Fleece Blankets. We will begin with a pot-luck so please bring a main dish, salad or dessert to share. After we share a meal we will put together 40 Care Kits and Tie 10 blankets. There will be no formal Sunday School class on September 8th, but you will have the opportunity to sign your child up for Sunday School.
Sunday School classes will begin on Sunday September 15th, at 10:45 am. Classes are for kids 3 yo-6th grade
For those who cannot come to Worship or Sunday School on Sundays, beginning on Wednesday, September 18, the schedule is:

5:30-6:15 pm- Meal (free will offering)

6:15-7:00 pm- Worship (in the fellowship room)

7:00-7:45 pm- Church School Classes for kids 3 yo-6th grade
Wednesday Church School will use the same Deep Blue Sunday School curriculum. If a child misses on Sunday, they can go to Church School the following Wednesday to make up their class. Here is the schedule for upcoming month:
Sundays: September 15, 22, 29 – October 6 (10:45 -11:30 am)
Wednesdays: September 18, 25 – October 9 (7:00 – 7: 45 pm)

Confirmation studies are for all students in 7th grade, 8th, and 9th grade. Students are confirmed in 10th grade on Reformation Sunday at the end of October.
We have a three year teaching cycle, learning new information each year. Topics include:

History of the Lutheran church

Old Testament

New Testament
-
What it looks like to live out our faith.

Participating in service opportunities throughout the year.
We meet on Wednesday evenings after worship from 7:00-8:00 pm.
