EASTERN EUROPE CRISIS RESPONSE

On February 24th, Russian forces invaded Ukraine, launching land, sea, and air attacks. Airports are now shut down and only a few railways lines are operational. Civilians fleeing the violence are moving towards Ukraine's western districts and neighboring countries of Poland, Moldova, Hungary, Romania, and Slovakia.

Lutheran Disaster Response is accompanying our companions in Ukraine, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia with ecumenical partners Lutheran World Federation and Church World Service in their humanitarian responses. These partners provide refugees with immediate support and supplies such as food, blankets, water, and hygiene kits.

If you would like to support this efforts, please click on the pdf file to print off a form and mail a check. Your gifts are designated for this crisis and 100% will be used to provide support for the people impacted by the conflict.

LECTIONARY BIBLE STUDY

On Monday mornings at 9:00 am you'll find a group of faithful folks gathering around coffee and leftover donuts from Sunday's fellowship hour to dive deep into the Lectionary scriptures for the upcoming week.

All are invited to join us! For more information about Lectionary Bible Study contact Pr. Grant or the church office.

QUILT GROUP

All are invited and encouraged to join the quilting group.  We meet every Wednesday from 1:00-4:00 pm, September through May.

Throughout the year, quilts are made by the women of Bethesda.  Each May, quilts are given to needy families worldwide, wounded soldiers and to social institutions in our own community.
